Who is the best player to wear #64 through 71 in Sabres history?

The Buffalo Sabres are in their 56th season and have a storied history. The club has 15 players who have been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, and many others who deserve recognition. Over the next few weeks, we will be looking at players in Sabres history by their jersey number, ranking the top two players to wear that particular number. Since fewer players have worn higher numbers in the club’s history, we will look at a range of numbers.
The top two who wore #64 through 71 in team history are: Evan Rodrigues and Victor Olofsson.
The two-time Cup winner was signed as an undrafted college free agent after four seasons at Boston University, the last being a teammate of Sabres top pick Jack Eichel. He played parts of five seasons in Buffalo before being dealt to Pittsburgh just before the league pandemic shutdown in 2020. Possibly the greatest late-round pick in Sabres history, Olofsson was selected in the seventh round in 2014 and spent four years in Sweden before joining Rochester in 2018 and scoring 30 goals with the Amerks as a rookie. The winger scored 20 or more goals three times in six seasons with Buffalo, before signing with Vegas and Colorado the last two seasons.
