The Buffalo Sabres are in their 56th season and have a storied history. The club has 15 players who have been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, and many others who deserve recognition. Over the next few weeks, we will look at players in Sabres history by jersey number, ranking the top three players to wear that number.
The top three who wore #13 in team history are: Yuri Khmylev, Slava Kozlov, and Josh Norris
The pickings were slim for the infamous unlucky number, as only 10 players have worn #13 in the Sabres' 56-year history. Kjmylev played parts of four seasons in Buffalo and tailed off after starting his career with a pair of 20-goal seasons. Kozlov was acquired from Detroit in the Dominik Hasek trade and was selected more because of his career before and after his one year in Buffalo, as he scored 20 or more goals 11 times. Norris was acquired in the Dylan Cozens deal last March and has averaged nearly a point per game in his brief stint with the Sabres.
