The Buffalo Sabres are in their 56th season and have a storied history. The club has 15 players who have been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, and many others who deserve recognition. Over the next few weeks, we will be looking at players in Sabres history by their jersey number, ranking the top two players to wear that particular number.

The top two who wore #38 in team history are: Adam Creighton and Nathan Paetsch

Creighton was Buffalo’s 11th overall pick in the 1983 Draft, after playing part time his first three seasons, the lanky forward posted double figures in goals for three straight seasons before being dealt to Chicago in 1988 for Rick Vaive. Paetsch was redrafted by the Sabres in the seventh round after being a second-round pick of the Capitals. After a strong season in the AHL in 2006, he posted a career-high 24 points as a rookie in 2007 and played five seasons with the Sabres before being dealt to Columbus in 2010.
