The 2019 draftee played at various levels in Sweden for three seasons before signing a two-year entry-level contract with the Sabres and in his first season with the AHL Rochester Americans, the 23-year-old had 20 points (9 goals, 11 assists) in 55 games and three assists in the Amerks run to the Calder Cup Eastern Conference Final. This season, the big left winger struggled out of the gate, with just one goal and three assists in 19 games before being dealt to the Canadiens on January 11th and assigned to their AHL affiliate in Laval, where he has one assist in four games for the Rockets. With his ELC expiring and making just $70,000 US in the AHL, it is possible that the big winger can make more going back to the SHL, where he had 32 points (14 goals, 18 assists) with Djurgardens two years ago.
