    With one week to set their opening day roster, the Calgary Flames moved closer to their opening-night roster by sending a half-dozen more players to the minors.

    Forwards Clark Bishop and Ben Jones, defensemen Yan Kuznetsov, Colton Poolman and Brady Lyle and goaltender Oscar Dansk were assigned to the AHL Wranglers on Tuesday.

    Three goalies, 11 defensemen and 21 forwards remain in camp, a list that includes injured left winger Jakob Pelletier, out indefinitely due to a shoulder injury, and defenseman Oliver Kylington, who was deemed “unable to participate in the opening of training camp” and for which there has been no update on his status.

    Forward Kevin Rooney is also sidelined due to injury.

    Calgary has two pre-season games remaining, Wednesday in Edmonton and Friday in Vancouver. The Flames will kick off the season Oct. 11 at home to the Winnipeg Jets.

    Still in camp are:

    Goalies: Jacob Markstrom, Dan Vladar, Dustin Wolf.

    Defense: Rasmus Andersson, Nikita Zadorov, MacKenzie Weegar, Noah Hanifin, Nick DeSimone, Ilya Solovyov, Chris Tanev, Dennis Gilbert, Oliver Kylington, Jordan Oesterle, Jeremie Poirier.

    Forwards: Jonathan Huberdeau, Dryden Hunt, Yegor Sharangovich, Kevin Rooney, Jakob Pelletier, Elias Lindholm, Matt Coronato, Sam Honzek, Connor Zary, Walker Duehr, Emilio Pettersen, Cole Schwindt, Mikael Backlund, Lucas Ciona, Blake Coleman, Dillon Dube, Nazem Kadri, Adam Klapka, Andrew Mangiapane, Martin Pospisil, Adam Ruzicka.
