Flames top prospect goaltender received the AHL's President's Award for Player Excellence

Dustin Wolf continues to collect accolades for his overflowing trophy case.
The Calgary Flames top prospect was awarded the AHL’s President’s Awards for player excellence late Thursday, adding to his collection following a phenomenal 2022-23 campaign with the Calgary Wranglers.
Wolf, 22, has already received the Les Cunningham Award as the league MVP — becoming only the eighth goaltender to be given that honor — as well as the Aldege “Baz” Bastien Memorial Award as the AHL’s outstanding goaltender for the second consecutive season, the Harry “Hap” Holmes Memorial Award, given to the goaltender(s) on the team that surrenders the fewest goals in the regular season and was named a first-team all-star.
The 2019 seventh-round draft choice recorded a 42-10-2 regular-season record with a 2.09 goals-against average and .932 save percentage. Wolf also made his NHL debut Flames in their season finale, and stopped 23 shots in a 3-1 win over the San Jose Sharks.
