The Slavins have welcomed in a new member of the family.

Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jaccob Slavin announced on his Instagram on Wednesday that the family had adopted a new dog, and one with quite the fitting name.

The Slavins' new dog is named Champ, which makes sense being that Slavin and his Carolina Hurricanes teammates recently became Stanley Cup Champions just over one month ago.

Champ is a black and white Berdoodle, a St. Bernard and Poodle mix, and is the third dog in the Slavin clan, joining Simba and Lola.
