Carolina Hurricanes forward Jackson Blake is celebrating his 22nd birthday today.

The Canes' standout rookie from last season made the team out of training camp and turned his earned opportunity into a spot on the top line and top power play.

His strong season ultimately led to a really awesome early birthday present: an eight-year, $45 million contract.

Blake had 17 goals and 34 points in 80 games last season along with three goals and six points in 15 postseason games.
