Ryan Suzuki is off to a new organization.

After spending the past six seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes in one capacity or another, the 2019 first round pick has taken his talents up north, signing a one-year deal with the Ottawa Senators.

Suzuki has been a consistent presence for many years with the Chicago Wolves, Canes' AHL affiliate, registering 193 points in 296 career games.

However, he's only appeared in two NHL games since being drafted, so it was clear he needed a new opportunity.

The deal will pay him $850,000 at the NHL level and $450,000 at the AHL level, which is a significant pay bump for Suzuki as well.

All the best to Ryan!
