Skyler Brind'Amour Makes Season Debut Against Edmonton Oilers

Skyler Brind'Amour will make his Carolina Hurricanes and NHL season debut tonight against the Edmonton Oilers.

Brind'Amour, 27, was recalled by the Canes on Wednesday and while the team thought he might not be able to draw in, it turns out that he was able to.

According to Rod Brind'Amour before the game, Skyler's equipment didn't make it with him to Edmonton initially, but some of it did eventually arrive in time and so he was able to suit up.

With the Canes missing two centermen in Jordan Staal and Mark Jankowski, Brind'Amour helps supplement that missing depth while also being good defensively and strong in the faceoff dot.
