All-Star Weekend and Sebastian Aho What - 2024 NHL All-Star Game When - 3 p.m. (Team MacKinnon vs. Team McDavid), 4 p.m. (Team Matthews vs. Team Hughes) and 5 p.m. (Championship Match) Where - Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, ON, Canada How to Watch - ABC, ESPN+, Sportsnet, TVA Sports -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's been a busy All-Star weekend in Toronto with not only the player draft and skills competition but also the announcements of the return to the Olympics as well as a new international, mid-season tournament. But now, it's time for the main event, the 3-on-3 All-Star game. The All-Star Games will take place today, Feb. 3, starting at 3 p.m. EST. Sebastian Aho and Team MacKinnon will face off against Team McDavid in the first match of the day followed by Team Matthews vs. Team Hughes at 4 p.m. The winner of each game will then faceoff in a winner-take-all final match. Team MacKinnon leads the way in terms of Stanley Cup experience, having six cups amongst the lineup, and they also have one of the league's best 3-on-3 players in Aho. Add in the speed of Nathan MacKinnon, Cale Makar and Travis Konecny and you have a pretty good attack. Obviously Team McDavid is a huge threat being that they have the best player in the world i.e. Connor McDavid who's already riding high after winning last night's skill competition. Then you look at his partner in crime, Leon Draisaitl as well as the two elite goal scorers in David Pastrnak and Sam Reinhart and you start to sweat a bit. Also, they probably the best goaltending tandem in the tournament in Connor Hellebuyck and Sergei Bobrovsky. Then it's pick your poison between the top-heavy lineups of Team Hughes i.e. all the Vancouver Canucks or Team Matthews i.e. all the Toronto Maple Leafs. At the end of the day, it's a tournament of all the best players in the world so anybody can win. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Team MacKinnon (Coach - Rick Bowness / Celebrity Captain - Tate McRae) * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined Team McDavid (Coach - Peter Laviolette / Celebrity Captain - Will Arnett) * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined Team Matthews (Coach - Jim Montgomery / Celebrity Captain - Justin Bieber) * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined Team Hughes (Coach - Rick Tocchet / Celebrity Captain - Michael Buble) * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined * undefined -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Recent Articles Bang for Your Buck: Hurricanes With One of NHL's Top Value Contracts [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/analysis/bang-for-your-buck-hurricanes-with-one-of-nhls-top-value-contracts] Carolina Hurricanes Head Into All-Star Break Hot Thanks to Special Teams Success [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/analysis/carolina-hurricanes-head-into-all-star-break-hot-thanks-to-special-teams-success] Carolina Hurricanes Mid-Season Awards [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/opinions/carolina-hurricanes-mid-season-awards] Carolina Hurricanes Netminder Frederik Andersen to Resume On-Ice Activities [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/news/frederik-andersen-to-resume-on-ice-activities]
