Eric Tulsky on 2024 Free Agency Carolina Hurricanes 2023 first-round pick Bradly Nadeau has made Team Canada's roster for the 2025 World Junior Championship. [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/latest-news/bradly-nadeau-invited-to-team-canada-world-junior-camp] Nadeau, 19, is currently playing in the AHL — where he has five and 12 points in 20 games with the Chicago Wolves [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/latest-news/scott-morrow-bradly-nadeau-score-first-professional-goals] — after he signed his ELC in April, but he's also coming off a monster season with the University of Maine in the NCAA. The scoring winger had 19 goals and 46 points with the Black Bears as a freshman and his stock just continues to rise thanks to his high-level shooting ability. Nadeau brings potent scoring and shooting ability to Team Canada and he should be a big asset to the team in Ottawa this year. In addition to Nadeau, Carolina prospects Felix Unger Sorum and Oskar Vuollet will also be attending the WJC [https://thehockeynews.com/nhl/carolina-hurricanes/latest-news/two-canes-prospects-selected-to-team-swedens-world-junior-championship-roster] with Team Sweden. While he is one of a few players with NHL experience on Team Canada, due to his non-traditional path (two years in BCHL and then one year in NCAA), Nadeau is actually the only player not currently playing in the Canadian junior leagues. "I think it's a great opportunity for him," said Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour back in November. "You get to play with other players but at a high level within your age group. He's a young kid right now and it's tough playing in the AHL. It's men and they're all pros trying to get here. It's a tough, tough league, so it might be good for him too just with the confidence thing to experience that. I don't know exactly if he's going to do it, it's kind of out of my wheelhouse, but I would hope that if he gets the opportunity, he does it." The World Juniors will be held from Dec. 26 through Jan. 5
