Sebastian Aho Named 2024 All-Star After a 5-2 victory over Team Czechia on Thursday, Carolina Hurricanes forward prospect Felix Unger Sorum.and Team Sweden are headed to the gold medal game in the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship. It's been a a good tournament for the Swedes, who shutout every opponent before the final round robin game against Team Finland, a 5-4 shootout loss. Following the round-robin, Sweden defeated both Switzerland and Czechia en route to the gold medal game against Team USA. The championship match will take place today (Jan. 5) at 1:30 p.m. EST and will air on NHL Network. On top of being a good tournament for Sweden, it's been a really good showcase for Unger Sorum. Playing on the third line and power play, Unger Sorum has picked up a goal and six points in six tournament games. Beyond scoring, his line has done a good job at generating offense and Unger Sorum has proven to be able to go to the dirty areas and fight for pucks. But really, what stands out is his passing ability. He's extremely patient with the puck on his stick and has a habit of waiting just long enough for lanes to open up. FUS was able to do that at the NHL level in the preseason this year, so it's no surprise he can do it down at the junior level.
