According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, The Chicago Blackhawks have granted permission for other teams to speak with their veteran goalie, Laurent Brossoit.
Brossoit, 32, has been sidelined since the 2024 playoffs while recovering from a knee injury and hip procedure. However, he's set the join the Rockford Icedogs (AHL) for a conditioning stint later this week.
With Spencer Knight and Arvid Soderblom solidifying themselves as a solid duo in Chicago, Brossoit is the odd man out.
Brossoit is in the final season of his two-year, $6.6 million contract, and with a career save percentage of .911, he has the potential be a solid backup upon his arrival.
Who should make a move for Brossoit?
