The NHL and NHLPA had a media tour in Milan, Italy this month. The event at the home of the 2026 Olympics featured people from the front office in the league, the players' association, and actual players who come from Europe.
Media also attended the event, including Elliotte Friedman and Kyle Bukauskas of Sportsnet. The two together host 32 Thoughts: The Podcast. While in Milan, they recorded an episode.
Before they got into their findings from Europe and the interviews that they conducted, they went over some NHL news since their last episode. That included the Frank Nazar contract extension, which led to a very intersting and informative conversation about the Blackhawks.
Of course, a handful of these topics sparked a couple of articles for me here at The Hockey News which can be seen here:

Last week, the Chicago Blackhawks and Frank Nazar agreed to terms of a contract extension. On top of the final year of his rookie deal, he has seven additional years locked up with a cap hit of $6.59 million.

Frank Nazar and the reaction to his contract extension have been a popular topic in NHL circles since Friday. However, there is another Nazar storyline to keep an eye on as time moves along.
