    The Minnesota Wild have taken Marco Rossi, a now former RFA, off the market by signing him to a contract extension.

    Some thought that the Chicago Blackhawks and other NHL teams should be trying to trade for Rossi, who had an excellent 2024-25 season with 24 goals and 36 assists for 60 points in 82 games. The former first-round pick has a bright future ahead of him and would have looked good with the young Blackhawks core. 

    Now, he has a bridge deal with the Wild. The Blackhawks will see him on the opposite bench in the Central Division frequently.
