Connor Bedard started fast at the IIHF World Championship in Czechia, but like his Canadian teammates had a disappointing finish.

Bedard was held without a point or a shot on goal in Canada's 4-2 loss to Sweden in the tournament's bronze medal game on Sunday. The Blackhawks center had just 10:13 of ice time as Canada dressed 14 forwards.

Bedard started the Worlds with five goals and an assist in his first three games. The 2024 Calder Trophy finalist added just two more assists in his next seven contests, although he was the only Canadian to score in the shootout in a 3-2 loss to Switzerland on Saturday.  Bedard was a plus-2 in 10 games overall.

Here's what the rest of the Blackhawks who skated in the tournament did.

Lukas Reichel, Germany: Three goals, four assists and a plus-2 in seven games. He joined the German team later after skating for Rockford in the AHL playoffs.

Philipp Kurashev, Switzerland: No goals, two assists and an even plus/minus in eight games. After sitting out the quarterfinal and semifinal games, Kurashev returned for the final against Czechia on Sunday, but played just 5:26 through nine quick shifts. The Czechs prevailed 2-0 to win the gold medal.

Seth Jones, USA.  No goals, five assists and a plus-6 in eight games. Jones logged a lot of minutes on a top pairing with Columbus' Zach Werenski.

Alex Vlasic, USA. No goals, two assists and a plus-1 in eight games.

Petr Mrazek, Czechia. The Blackhawks No. 1 goalie became Czechia's backup, appearing in only two of 10 games as Anaheim's Lukas Dostal took over as his country's main man in nets. Mrazek finished with a 1.50 goals-against and .906 save percentage
