Raddysh, one of only two Chicago 20-goal scorers last season, hurt in first shift of 5-4 OT loss at Dallas on Friday.
Blackhawks forward Taylor Raddysh, one of only two Chicago 20-goal scorers last season, was placed on injured reserve on Saturday morning with a left groin injury. Boris Katchouk was recalled from Rockford of the AHL to fill the roster spot.
Raddysh was hurt in his first shift in a 5-4 OT loss at Dallas on Friday. The 25-year-old winger has five goals and five assist in 35 games this season after coming on strong in 2022-23 to finish with 20 goals and 17 assists in 78 games.
Speedy Andreas Athanasiou, the other Blackhawk who scored 20 times last year, has been out with a groin injury since Nov. 9. Athanasiou recently suffered a setback in his rehabilitation and there's no timetable for his return. He signed a two-year, $8.5 million contract last June.
Katchouk, 25, appeared in 17 games with the Blackhawks earlier this season posting two goals and two assists. He had three goals and two assists in six games with Rockford after clearing waivers and being sent down on Dec. 12.
The Blackhawks remain without top defenseman Seth Jones, who suffered a shoulder injury on Dec. 10 late in a loss to Washington. The 29-year-old D-man leads the Blackhawks in ice time per game with 25:25. He hadn't scored on any of his 60 shot on goal this season, but has 11 assists and anchors Chicago's blue line.
Jones is expected to start skating on his own in about a week.
Also out is Joey Anderson, straight-line forward who made an immediate impact after he was recalled from Rockford on Nov. 24. Anderson has five assists and was a plus-5 in 13 games before suffering a lower-body injury on Dec. 17. His projected return might be mid-January.
