Time to look ahead and to move on to something new... under hockey's most established and iconic media brand.

Founded in 1947 in Montréal, The Hockey News is the second-oldest publication in North America devoted to one sport. For decades, it was the go-to outlet for fans to learn anything about the game, especially when it came to hockey-wide, out-of-market, feature and human interest stories.

The Hockey News has been undergoing a renaissance under Roustan Media, Ltd., a firm in the portfolio of companies of W. Graeme Roustan. (Visit https://www.roustan.com.). THN is a go-to source again for all hockey fans. Content is being created by veteran, mainstream journalists, many of whose connections to hockey are unequalled.

The THN Chicago Blackhawks site will build on this.

Sports teams today often force reporters into scrums with players, coaches and managers, and control messages tightly. We plan on being in the scrums, listening closely.

We'll look outside the scrums, appropriately and with the highest levels of integrity. We'll also look outside the Chicago market to bring a wider perspective to our coverage.

Some of us have covered things other than sports. Some of us have played this sport or worked in this sport in roles other than as journalists. In a sense, we are "hockey people" right down to the lingering lace calluses on the insides of our fingers. That allows us to see things and sometimes see through things.

So welcome everyone. The Hockey News is out to be better than ever.

Now it's the Blackhawks' turn in a post-Toews, post-Kane era.
