Bedard became just the 24th player to ever record 100 points before turning 20 years old. Given his birthday is in July, the 19-year-old still has the rest of the season to pad his totals as a teenager in the NHL. He required the fewest games to reach 100 points as a teenager since Sidney Crosby in 2005-06 as the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins accomplished that in just 80 games. It took Bedard 112 games, but the Chicago Blackhawks are very bad this season and were right at the bottom of the league last season as well. In the expansion era (since 1967-69), it took Bedard the 11th fewest games to reach 100 points in his career as a teenager.
