Tyler Johnson scored his second goal of the game on a power-play with 2:36 left in regulation to tie it, but the Blackhawks fell to the Dallas Stars 5-4 in overtime on Friday night when Roope Hintz completed a hat trick with 7.9 seconds remaining in the extra period. Chicago beat Winnipeg 2-1 on Wednesday on Connor Bedard's first OT goal to send a sellout United Center crowd into a frenzy. The NHL's leading rookie scorer was kept off the scoresheet in Dallas, but came on late in this one with three shots on goal and two that were blocked. RADDYSH HURT Forward Taylor Raddysh suffered a left groin strain on his first shift and didn't return. He was placed on injured reserve on Saturday morning and forward Boris Katchouk was recalled from Rockford of the AHL. BEDARD ON ICE FOR STARS' GAME-WINNER Bedard was on the ice for Hintz's game winner. The rookie tried to steal the puck in the neutral zone, but Hintz, Jason Robertson and Miro Heiskanen broke into the Chicago zone against Nick Foligno and Isaak Phillips. The resurgent 31-year-old goalie finished with 30 saves, including several tough ones, in his fourth start in five games. Dallas outshot Chicago 35-29. Despite the loss, the Blackhawks earned points consecutive games for only the second time this season. They had two wins and an OT loss in three straight games earlier this month. "I think we battled, so that part was good," Johnson said. "But our structure and our discipline could have been better. It's good that we got the point, but I think we could have been a lot better." THEN ROUGH NIGHT FOR CHICAGO D-MAN JARRED TINORDI The Blackhawks scored first for the 19th time and owned a 2-0 lead midway though the first on goals by Johnson and Guttman. Johnson batted in a fluttering rebound at 7:56 to open the scoring. Guttman gave Chicago a two-goal lead at 10:56 when he fired in a shot from the crease after taking Lukas Reichel's pass from behind the net. Hintz got his first goal, a power-play score, on a backdoor deflection, just 53 seconds later to cut it to 2-1. Chicago veteran defenseman Jarred Tinordi was off on an interference call. Joe Pavelski and Hintz scored 20 seconds apart midway through the second period to put Dallas ahead, 3-2. Pavelski tied it 2-all 9:03 when Nils Lundkvist's shot from the left point deflected in off the veteran forward, who was tied up with Tinordi in the crease. Hintz swept in his second goal of the night from the backdoor at 9:23. Tinordi slipped and got turned around skating back as Dallas broke in. Robertson made a cross-ice pass to Hintz who was wide open on the right side of the crease. Jamie Benn upped the Stars lead to 4-2 at 2:09 of the third. Wyatt Johnston danced past Tinordi and the Hawks defense to the net. Mrazek stopped Johnston's shot, but Benn trailed in alone down the slot and burried the rebound. See video with Richardson. In Chicago two previous losses, to Montréal and St. Louis, the Canadiens and Blues both roared back with five unanswered goals after the Hawks led.
