DENVER — The Colorado Avalanche return to Ball Arena on Saturday night looking to put an end to a two-game losing streak when they host the Detroit Red Wings.

Colorado has dropped its last two games, including a 3-2 overtime loss to the Nashville Predators, and will be looking to get back in the win column against a Detroit team dealing with similar struggles.

The Avalanche are back at Ball Arena on Wednesday night as they welcome the Los Angeles Kings to Denver for a 10 p.m. ET matchup on TNT.

It’s an early-season meeting between two Western Conference opponents, with Colorado looking to make its mark on home ice.

How are we feeling going into Game 5?

It's Ryan here. I just wanted to say hello.

I hope everyone is having a great night. How is everyone feeling about tomorrow?

The Dallas Stars are getting decimated by the Minnesota Wild in Game 1.

Who saw this coming!?

I've run out of things to say when it comes to some of these calls we're seeing. We saw the Anaheim Ducks lose a goal in the shootout because of a supposed double shot when only one shot was taken. It's not just an issue for the Colorado Avalanche, it's an issue for the entire league at this point.

First and foremost, it’s an honor to meet you all. My name is Ryan O’Hara and I’m the new Site Editor here. After a rough northeastern road trip, the Av’s are back on home ice. Surprisingly this is the first time these two teams face off this year. Both the Av’s  and Blues have not been amazing in their last ten games, with the Av’s going 4-5-1, and the blues 4-6-0. These past two days was the first real break they have had since the shocking Rantanen trade, and the first time for the trade acquisitions to get more used to their team, so don’t be surprised if you see a little extra out of Necas and Drury.
