Avalanche's star players praised by Maple Leafs' Sheldon Keefe

The Avalanche's star players were praised by Maple Leafs' Sheldon Keefe.

Colorado Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar presented the highs and lows of the team's first 41 games.

The Colorado Avalanche got a big comeback win against the Toronto Maple Leafs last night. After being down 3-0 in the first period, the Avs scored five unanswered goals and won by a 5-3 final score.

Following the game, Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe had some kind words to say about the Nathan MacKinnon line and the Avalanche's top defensive pairing.

Here is what the Maple Leafs' bench boss had to say on the matter: "When MacKinnon's line gets out there with Makar and Toews. That's not the NHL. That's another league."

It is hard to argue against Keefe's comments. Superstar center Nathan MacKinnon has been creating magic with Mikko Rantanen and former junior teammate Jonathan Drouin. Meanwhile, Cale Makar and Devon Toews are arguably the best defensive pairing in the NHL. Thus, having them all on the ice together is a recipe for immense success, which the Avs are having this season.

After receiving these kind words from Keefe, the MacKinnon line and Makar/Toews pairing will look to continue to stay dominant from here.
