The Jackets are in Big D tonight to play the Dallas Stars for the first time this season, and it should be a doozy.
The Stars come into the game winners of their last four games, including a pair of wins over Vegas, and wins against St. Louis, and Vancouver. They've gone 6-4 in their last 10 and are 19-7-1 at home.
Dallas seems to be loading up for a deep playoff run. On Saturday, they traded for Mikael Granlund and Cody Ceci from the San Jose Sharks,
The Blue Jackets are hot themselves though, having gone 7-2-1 in the last 10, and have won three straight games, all in overtime. But if they want to win this game against Dallas, they absolutely cannot spot the Stars two goals and make a late third-period comeback. The Stars are way too good for that, and both of their goalies are really good. So if the Blue Jackets want to win this game, they need to play a full 60 minutes.
The Stars don't score as many goals as the Jackets do, but they also don't give many up, as they're currently 3rd in the league in goals surrendered. They also have an elite PK that is running at 84.1%, which is 2nd in the NHL.
This should be a good game and another measuring stick for the young CBJ.
