The Wrap Around

The Blue Jackets will activate forward Yegor Chinakhov from injured reserve. He will play tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Chinakhov played in 21 games before suffering a back injury. In those 21 games, he scored 7 goals and had 14 points.

The Jackets will love getting Chinakhov's shot back. He routinely has the hardest and most accurate shots on any given night.

To accommodate Chinakhov coming off of IR, a move will need to be made. The easiest move would be to put Cole Sillinger on IR. We await that decision later today.

Cole Sillinger suffered an upper-body injury against the Detroit Red Wings last Thursday night. After taking a hit from Mo Seider, he left the game and did not return. GM Don Waddell confirmed that his shoulder doesn't need surgery and that he will just need to rehab it. Sillinger isn't expected back for a few weeks.

What's Next: The Jackets are in Tampa tonight to take on the red hot Lightning.
