Blue Jackets Activate Sean Kuraly From IR, Assign Brendan Gaunce To Cleveland

The Columbus Blue Jackets have announced that Sean Kuraly has been activated off of IR today, and will play tomorrow vs. the Vancouver Canucks.
Kuraly has missed the last 8 games due to an abdominal injury. Kuraly suffered fractured rib cartilage after getting his stick jammed into him along the boards during a puck battle. "I never knew what a costal cartilage fracture was, but now I do," Kuraly told Jeff Svoboda.
Kuraly has 11 points this season in 35 games played. His return will bring a welcomed presence into a lineup struggling without veteran leadership.
The club also announced they will be returning Brendan Gaunce to Cleveland. In eight games played with Columbus, he tallied three points.
