Werenski on IR after nasty knee on knee
The Jackets have announced that D Zach Werenski is on IR after taking a knee from Garnet Hathaway last night.
The team is calling it a "quad contusion" and will miss 1 to 2 weeks.
The team also announced that David Jiricek will be called up from Cleveland.
Hathaway is not expected to be suspended, just fined, but with this IR news, that may sway the NHL's disciplinary board to take a deeper look.
Adam Boqvist was a healthy scratch last night, so it'll be either him or Jiricek that goes in. Would they call Jiricek up just to scratch him?
