Jets Win 7th Straight, Shut Out Blue Jackets

If not for a flukey kind of goal early in the first, one could say the Jackets played well in that period. Unfortunately for the CBJ, the rest of the game was not good.

The Jets scored five unanswered to shut the Jackets out, and that would be it. The Jets aggressive defense led to 14 Columbus giveaways and only one takeaway. The Jackets did block 21 shots, which limited the Jets shot count, but that was all that we can take away from this game.

Starting goaltender Daniil Tarasov struggled in this game, giving up 5 goals on 23 shots. He did make a few good saves, or the score could've been worse.

The bottom line is that the Jackets ran into a Jets team that hadn't lost since December 12th, and they weren't going to let Columbus stop their streak.

Adam Fantilli seemed fine after taking a nasty knee-on-knee hit from Neal Pionk, who was called for clipping. Something to keep an eye out for, even though Fantilli got right back out on the ice.
