Head Coach Dean Evason has announced that forward Cole Sillinger will miss tomorrow's game against Montréal due to an upper-body injury.
During Saturday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes, Sillinger was kicked in the head by a Hurricane player in what was a very dangerous play. The Carolina player attempted to split two Jackets by leaving his feet. In the process, the Hurricane skate slammed into the side of Sillinger's head. The skate was dangerously close to Sillinger's face and looked to hit the side of his head. Sillinger immediately held the side of his head and left the ice. He would return and finish the game, so it was assumed he was ok.
He missed practice yesterday, and today Evason announced that he would miss the game against the Canadiens.
Sillinger has 12 points in 20 games and is on pace to beat his personal best of 32 points.
What's Next - The Blue Jackets return home on Wednesday to play the Montreal Canadiens.
