The Columbus area native stays with Columbus for another year

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed 25-year-old Carson Meyer to a one-year deal. The contract will be a one-year, two-way contract for the 23-24 season. The deal is worth $775,000 in the NHL. Per PuckPedia, the CBJ now have $4,754,167 in current cap space.

Meyer has played in 27 NHL games for Columbus, scoring 1 goal and 4 points. In Cleveland he’s scored 34 goals and 73 points.

The Powell, Ohio native, and Ohio State Alum looks to make an impact with the CBJ. Many, including John Davidson, who spoke at a season ticket holder event last season, have said that they expected Meyer to make the CBJ out of camp last year. He’ll look to try again this year.

Meyer has the skill to contribute to this team, he just needs the ice time.
