No surprises among latest CBJ cuts

The CBJ made moves today to reduce the roster, but there were no real surprises.

Goalie Jet Greaves was loaned to the Monsters, and James Malatesta and Hunter McKown were also loaned to Cleveland.

Meanwhile, Marcus Bjork, Jake Christiansen, Josh Dunne, Brendan Gaunce, Carson Meyer, and Billy Sweezey were placed on waivers for the purpose of returning to Cleveland.

Justin Pearson has been returned to Cleveland on his AHL contract. Also, Stefan Matteau was released from his tryout contract and is expected to join Cleveland for training camp on a tryout contract.

Saturday will be the final tune-up before the regular season starts next Thursday. They go to Washington and will play at 7 p.m.
