Blue Jackets and Canucks trade partners?
Insider Elliotte Friedman said on his 32 Thoughts Podcast today that the Blue Jackets have an interest in Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland. He stated that the rumors have started to revolve around Jack Roslovic and his $4 million/yr, expiring contract at the end of the year. Garland makes $4.95m a year for what it’s worth. He also states that other teams are interested as well. They said on the show The Athletic's Aaron Portzline has confirmed that the CBJ has an interest in Garland.

Vancouver needs a defenseman and Columbus has a plethora, so adding a forward seems to be going against what they need. Vancouver also needs cap space, and with Roslovic making a million or so less, I guess that makes sense. Andrew Peeke's name has also been mentioned by a few people as someone who could be involved in such a trade as well.
We all know where there’s smoke, there’s fire, so don’t be surprised if a deal goes down at some point in the near future.
