The CBJ home opener will be Thursday, October 12th against the Philadelphia Flyers
The Columbus Blue Jackets 2023-24 regular season schedule is here.
The season opener will be Thursday, October 12th at home versus the Philadelphia Flyers. Could we see Mike Babcock vs John Tortorella?
The CBJ will play their first four games of the season at Nationwide Arena, with their first road game coming on October 21st in Minnesota.
November will see the CBJ play at home the day before Thanksgiving, and then on the road the day after Thanksgiving. Christmas has the Jackets playing two home games before Santa comes to town. Sadly, there will be no New Years Eve this season at Nationwide Arena.
Late January, the team will go on its trip to Western Canada and then on to St Louis before they head into the All-Star break and mandatory week off.
The season finale will at home vs the Hurricanes on April 16th.
Overall, the schedule is equally laid out, with January and February having less than six home games. April has four home games, but with the short month, they play four out of eight at home.
The longest road trip will be in late January during the Western Canada trip, with five in a row. Being matched in late March with Western America trip to Colorado, Vegas, and Arizona, bookended by Detroit and Pittsburgh.
The Blue Jackets play 10 back-to-back series this season. That seems low compared to previous seasons.
Overall the 2023-24 schedule seems fair.
