Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Luca Del Bel Belluz will be a young forward to watch next season. The 22-year-old forward has shown plenty of promise at the American Hockey League (AHL) level with the Cleveland Monsters, and it would not be surprising if he gets more opportunities in the NHL next season because of it. Del Bel Belluz had another strong season this year with the Monsters, as he scored 22 goals and recorded new AHL career highs with 36 assists and 58 points in 55 games. This is after he had 27 goals, 26 assists, and 53 points in 61 games for the Monsters during the 2024-25 season. While Del Bel Belluz has not cemented himself as a full-time NHL player yet, he certainly has the potential to change that next season. The 2022 second-round pick is continuing to show clear signs of progression, and it would not be shocking in the slightest if he breaks out next season for the Blue Jackets because of it. If Del Bel Belluz takes that next step, it would be significant for a Blue Jackets club that is looking to be a playoff team next season. It will be interesting to see how Del Bel Belluz performs next season, but it is hard not to be optimistic about his future.
