The AHL celebrated their All-Star weekend immediately following the NHL, and the Texas Stars had four representatives in the Central Division.

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports - Texas Stars shine at AHL All-Star Weekend

Logan Stankoven, Mavrik Bourque, Matej Blumel and head coach Neil Graham all got invited to San Jose for the AHL All-Star Game this past weekend. Stankoven and Bourque seemed like no-brainers to attend the All-Star Game, as they lead the league in points. But Blumel, the third part of the trio, states he "didn't expect it at all."

The three of them on a line have been terrorizing other teams all season. And it didn't stop there. They put it all out there for show during the All-Star Game, as they were paired together in the 3-on-3 style hockey.

Blumel competed in the fastest skater challenge, where he finished in 13.6 seconds. However, he was just beaten by Ethen Frank of the Hershey Bears who finished in 13.3 seconds and won the competition. Blumel also participated in the hardest shot challenge, clocking a shot at 93 MPH.

Bourque was chosen to participate in the accuracy competition and the breakaway challenge. Although he did not win either competition, he did score in the actual All-Star game when the Central Division took on the Pacific Division, beating Matthew Villalta of the Tucson Roadrunners.

Stankoven also participated in the accuracy shot and breakaway challenge. There was also a team race, East versus West, and Stankoven was able to make up time and win the competition for the West. Stankoven was not as fortunate in the sharp shooter competition, finishing off the winning pace.

Max Miller of THN's San Jose Sharks site was able to speak with Stankoven before the All-Star Game. Stankoven was asked about attending the All-Star Game with his teammates to which Stankoven replied, "It's definitely more comfortable for myself. I don't know too many guys here."

The Dallas Stars are one of the deepest team in the league from talent throughout the lineup and into the AHL when it comes to forwards.

Stankoven was asked about how he stays ready for a potential call up and he responded, "I'm just finding things each day... just find ways to get better each day. I know that you know nobody's perfect and especially not myself, so I'm trying to work on my defensive game and be a more well-rounded player, so that when I do get called up, I can fit in with the line-up nicely."

The Central lost in a shoot out and did not get to go on to the finals, but the three Texas All-Stars represented the Stars organization well and added another accolade to their resume.
