On Saturday night against the Nashville Predators, Wyatt Johnston scored his 20th power play goal of the season, continuing his historic campaign and cementing his status as one of the league’s top offensive threats.

Johnston has already rewritten the Dallas Stars record books this season. Earlier this year he surpassed Mike Modano’s single season Dallas Stars power play goal record of 18, a mark set in 1993 94. Now with 20 power play goals, he is just two away from tying the all time Dallas/Minnesota franchise record of 22 power play goals set by Dino Ciccarelli in the 1986-87 season.

This season Johnston has been dominant overall, tallying 32 goals and 31 assists for 63 points in 59 games. His scoring ability on both the power play and at even strength has made him a key contributor to Dallas’ offense and a constant threat for opponents.

Stars fans, how excited are you to see Johnston chasing these franchise records and what do you think his final totals could be by the end of the season?
