Happy 31st Birthday to Dallas Stars depth forward Adam Erne, who will look to make it a memorable one by delivering a strong performance against the Minnesota Wild on Monday.
The New Haven, Connecticut native has built a solid NHL career, appearing in nearly 425 games across multiple seasons. He joined the Dallas Stars on a one-year contract following a training camp tryout in 2025, bringing veteran depth, physicality, and a hard-nosed presence to their forward group.
Originally selected 33rd overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2013 NHL Draft, Erne made his NHL debut in 2017 and scored his first career goal that same season. While he entered the league with strong expectations, his career has instead been defined by perseverance and adaptability as he has spent time with the Lightning, Detroit Red Wings, Edmonton Oilers, and now Dallas.
His most productive stretch came in Detroit during the 2020-21 season, when he recorded 11 goals and 20 points in 45 games. Since arriving in Dallas, Erne has looked to carve out a consistent role and provide reliable depth on the wing.
Monday’s Game 2 against Minnesota could also be a meaningful moment in his career, as it marks just his fourth career playoff game and his first chance to record a postseason point.
