The Stars will have plenty of veterans in the lineup against the Avalanche.
DALLAS - The Stars’ preseason schedule continues with a matchup against the Avalanche at American Airlines Center on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. CT.
Head coach Pete DeBoer’s contingent has a 3-0-1 exhibition record following Sunday’s 4-3 overtime loss at Ball Arena in Denver.

The Stars will feature a veteran-heavy lineup versus Colorado as the start of the regular season continues to draw closer.
Prospects Logan Stankoven, Matěj Blümel and Lian Bichsel get another look as well.
Goaltender Jake Oettinger will make his first appearance of the preseason.
The Lakeville, MN native posted a 37-11-11 record, 2.35 goals-against average and .919 save percentage in 62 appearances last year.
“I’m just going to go out there and try to knock the rust off,” said Oettinger. “You can’t really simulate a lot of game stuff in practice. It’s a whole different ball game, so I’ll just see if I remember my pregame routine and all that stuff and then just go from there and try to have some fun.”
During his pregame press conference, DeBoer provided injury updates regarding forwards Roope Hintz and Wyatt Johnston.
On Hintz:
“He’s progressing, getting better, was supposed to skate today in Frisco. That’s kind of the next step back, but we’re not rushing him. There’s no sense. We’ve got time on our hands right now, so we’re going to use it. I don’t need to see Roope in an exhibition game. If he plays in one, great, if he doesn’t, I’m sure he’ll find a spot in our opening-night lineup. We’ll make some room for him.
On Johnston:
“He’s got a little bit of a tweak. We thought he was through the other side of it, had a little bit of a setback. Nothing major or concerning, but again, same as Roope, we’re going to use the time that we have on our side right now because it runs out pretty quickly once the puck drops on the season.”
