Stars forward was just one of many who barely missed out on year-end hardware

The Dallas Stars did not take home any hardware at this year's NHL Awards. But based on the voting, they might not be held out for long.

From Jason Robertson ranking fourth overall for the Hart Trophy to Jake Oettinger ranking in the top-5 for the Vezina Trophy, here are how the Stars finished in awards voting.

    Hart Trophy
    Jason Robertson, 4th (356 points)
Connor McDavid, who led the league with 153 points, was the runaway winner for his third Hart Trophy. But Robertson finished just outside the top-3 after scoring a career-best 46 goals and 109 points.

    Calder Trophy
    Wyatt Johnston, 5th (341 points)
In his first season in the NHL, Johnston tied Calder Trophy winner Matty Beniers with 24 goals and finished fourth overall with 41 points.

    Lady Byng Trophy
    Joe Pavelski, 5th (362 points)
The ageless wonder had 28 goals and 77 points. But even more impressive was that the 38-year-old took just four penalties.

    Vezina Trophy
    Jake Oettinger, 5th (7 points)
Oettinger, who received seven third-place votes, went 37-11-11 with a .919 save percentage and 2.37 goals-against average.

    Norris Trophy
    Miro Heiskanen, 7th (269 points)

Heiskanen's 73 points did not come close to what Erik Karlsson was able to produce, but Heiskanen still picked up a first-place vote after tying for fifth overall in defence scoring.

    Jack Adams
    Peter DeBoer, T-8th (5 points)
In his first season behind the Stars’ bench, Peter DeBoer tied for eighth overall with Minnesota’s Dean Evason.

    Selke Trophy

    Roope Hintz, 11th (31 points)

Patrice Bergeron won his sixth award as the best defensive forward, but the 37-year-old's reign could be coming to an end. If so, keep an eye on Hintz. The 26-year-old centre, who scored 37 goals and 75 points last season, finished just outside the top-11 with two second-place votes.
