DALLAS - The Stars improved to 4-0-1 on the year with a 4-1 win over the Penguins on Tuesday night at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
Jason Robertson, Evgenii Dadonov, Thomas Harley and Wyatt Johnston scored for head coach Pete DeBoer's contingent, while goaltender Jake Oettinger stoped 38 of 39 shots between the pipes.
It marked the third consecutive victory for the Stars, who've now earned nine out of a possible 10 points to start the campaign and have yet to lose in regulation.
Oettinger was particularly sharp in the opening frame when he turned aside 17 of 18 shots, surrendering the Penguins' lone goal to Bryan Rust.
Dallas blocked 19 shots and also held Pittsburgh without a power-play tally on three opportunities with the man advantage.
The Stars are back in action on Thursday night when they host the Maple Leafs at the American Airlines Center. Puck drop is 7:00 p.m. CT.
