The news was confirmed by head coach Pete DeBoer during his pregame press conference.

DALLAS - Veteran forward Roope Hintz will make his season debut for the Stars tonight against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena.

Hintz, 26, battled an upper-body injury that forced him to miss the home opener last Thursday night in Dallas.

He didn't play any exhibition games either because of the injury.

Hintz will center a line flanked by Jason Robertson and Joe Pavelski.

"We know what Roope does. He drives whatever line he's playing on, but particularly with those guys," said head coach Pete DeBoer. "He's the speed on that line. He creates room for them. We use him in every situation. He's a key piece for us."

Hintz registered a career-high 75 points (37 goals, 38 assists) last season.

"I feel really good. I feel 100 percent. Of course it helps to get back together like that, practice with the team, get the game speed back and battle level," said Hintz, following Tuesday's morning skate. "I'm feeling really good right now."
