    Dallas was defeated in regulation for the first time this season.

    DALLAS - The Stars (4-1-1) suffered their first regulation loss of the season on Thursday night, falling 4-1 to the Maple Leafs at the American Airlines Center.

    Morgan Rielly, Mitch Marner, Tyler Bertuzzi and John Tavares scored for Toronto, while goaltender Joseph Woll made 31 saves to pick up the win. Tavares' tally was an empty-netter.

    Mason Marchment scored for Dallas, netting his first goal of the campaign on a perfect feed from Matt Duchene in the second period.

    Scott Wedgewood made 20 saves for the Stars in his second start of the year. Jake Oettinger had the night off.

    Dallas is back in action on Monday night when they host Columbus. Puck drop is 7:00 p.m. CT.
