Dallas battled back against one of the League's elite teams.

DALLAS - The Stars (12-4-1) were down 2-0 to the Rangers (12-3-1) in the second period on Monday night at the American Airlines Center before turning the tables on their opponents.

Dallas scored six consecutive goals courtesy of Jamie Benn, Joe Pavelski, Mason Marchment, Tyler Seguin, Sam Steel and Roope Hintz en route to a 6-3 victory.

Hintz also had a couple of assists for a three-point effort.

Goaltender Scott Wedgewood made 30 saves.

The Stars couldn't have asked for a better way to rebound from Saturday night's 6-3 defeat to the Avalanche. Dallas let a 3-0 lead evaporate in that contest.

"We wanted to respond after what happened last game," said Wedgewood. "Obviously, our guys took pride in that and we came away with a win tonight."

Marchment was proud of that response, too.

It was nice to get the job done.

"Last game, that's not our group. We're better than that. We know that in here," insisted Marchment. "To come out in this game and do the same thing that they did to us, it shows the kind of team we are. We've got those kind of people in this room, so it's a big win for us."

Dallas' homestand continues on Wednesday night with a matchup against the Golden Knights.

Puck drop is 8:30 p.m. CT.
