Former two-time Detroit Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek has struggled with injuries during recent years in his NHL career, and he was just dealt another unfortunate blow on the health front.
Mrazek, who has appeared in only 10 games this season with the Anaheim Ducks, has undergone hip surgery and is going to miss the remainder of the season.
In separate stints, Mrazek appeared in 171 total games with the Red Wings, compiling a 74-60-20 record while posting a 2.60 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.
After his brief second tenure in Detroit last season, he was flipped to the Ducks in the deal that brought John Gibson to the Red Wings.
