The Detroit Red Wings and Grand Rapids Griffins will have live coverage on WXSP-TV for the 2025-26 season.
Hockey fans in West Michigan will once again be able to catch live coverage of Detroit Red Wings and Grand Rapids Griffins action this season on WXSP-TV. The station will broadcast eight Grand Rapids Griffins home games during the 2025-26 campaign, along with the annual Red & White Game featuring Red Wings players.
The Red & White Game, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m., will not only air live on WXSP but will also be available for streaming at DetroitRedWings.com and on the official Detroit Red Wings mobile app.
For the sixth year in a row, WXSP will be the exclusive in-market television home of Griffins hockey. Part of the same media family as WOOD TV8 and WOTV, WXSP is accessible via all major local cable providers and over-the-air in several communities through affiliated low-power stations: Grand Rapids (WOLP 27), Holland (WOHO 33), Muskegon (WOMS 29), Kalamazoo (WOKZ 50), and Battle Creek (WOBC 14).
The TV schedule kicks off Saturday, Oct. 18 when the Manitoba Moose come to Van Andel Arena. Each of the eight televised contests will feature a different opponent, giving fans a look at a wide range of NHL prospects and AHL talent throughout the season. The complete Griffins home schedule is available [here].
Returning to the booth are Bob Kaser, known as the "Voice of the Griffins," and color analyst Larry Figurski, who will team up for their 26th season together. All televised games will also be simulcast on WOOD Radio (106.9 FM / 1300 AM).
Fans outside of the WXSP broadcast area—or those who prefer to stream—can watch all 72 Griffins games live through AHLTV on FloHockey. A full-season subscription, which includes regular-season and playoff games, is priced at $149.88.
