While the Detroit Red Wings lost team captain Dylan Larkin as part of their 3-1 setback against the Florida Panthers on Friday evening, the good news is that it looks as though they avoided a worst-case scenario.

Head coach Todd McLellan confirmed that Larkin would not be available for Sunday's game against the New Jersey Devils, but that they are taking his ailment on a day-to-day basis.
