Former Detroit Red Wings forward Joe Veleno, whom they selected in the first round of the 2018 NHL Draft, has found a new home.

After playing this most recent season with the Montreal Canadiens, he signed a one-year contract to join the New York Rangers. 

Last season in Montreal, Veleno skated in 61 games and was limited to just two goals and three assists.
