As part of the 5-1 loss suffered by the Detroit Red Wings to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday evening, a pair of former Red Wings players played a role.

Anthony Mantha, who spent the first several seasons of his NHL career with Detroit before being shipped to the Washington Capitals in 2021, scored his 30th goal of the season, giving him a new career-high.

Additionally, Elmer Soderblom, who never fulfilled his potential in Detroit and was traded early last month, registered an assist.

It was a tough go of it for the Red Wings on Tuesday, and even tougher seeing former Detroit players help do them in.
