The first-seeded Detroit Red Wings had found themselves trailing by a stunning two games to none margin in the opening round of the 2002 Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Vancouver Canucks.

That was until a magical shot from Nicklas Lidstrom near the end of the second period of Game 3 that turned the series on its head. Detroit won Game 3 by a 3-1 final score, and then earned 4-2 and 4-0 wins in the subsequent games, taking a 3-2 series lead.

Game 6 in Vancouver was nothing short of wild, as the Red Wings quickly took a 2-0 lead, only to see the Canucks storm back to tie the score.

However, Detroit's veteran experience soon took over. Brett Hull notched a hat trick as part of the wild 6-4 win, putting the Red Wings into the second round en route to what was the club's 10th overall Stanley Cup title.
