Detroit officially became the ninth city to welcome a PWHL team, in large part thanks to the tremendous successes of the four separate Takeover Tour dates at Little Caesars Arena. 

On Wednesday morning, Detroit was introduced as the newest home of a PWHL team that will play their games inside of Little Caesars Arena, and also utilize the BELFOR Training Center as a practice rink

But as has been the case traditionally in the first year of a PWHL team, they'll simply be known by the city moniker, and an official nickname will be revealed at a later date, likely in time for their second season.
